Tervetuloa Metsä²n – avoimen tilan, kansalaistilan, yhteisen tilan, esitystilan ja keskustelutilan – sivuille.
Metsä² rakennetaan ”lähijätteestä” eli meitä ympäröivästä rakennus- ja elektroniikkajätteestä syyskuun ajan liikehuoneistoon Aleksanterinkadulle.
Tilassa järjestetään erilaisia tapahtumia (esityksiä, keskustelutilaisuuksia ja työpajoja), joihin osallistuminen on maksutonta. Metsä² on avoin kaikille, ilman pääsymaksua koko lokakuun ajan. Metsä²ssä vallitsevat jokaisen oikeudet.
Metsä² löytyy osoitteesta Aleksanterinkatu 13 (Aleksi 13 tavaratalon ja Dressmanin välistä.) Voit osallistua Metsä²n rakennukseen syyskuussa pian julkaistavien aukioloaikojen puitteissa. Tervetuloa!

Metsänhoitajina toimivat Henna Tanskanen ja Hannah Maria Gullichsen yhdessä Torkkelin kuvataidelukiolaisten kanssa. Hanketta on tukenut SKR (Uudenmaan rahasto) ja sen on tuottanut Teatteri Circus Maximus.
Welcome to the homepage of Forest².
Forest² is an open, shared, admission free space in the centre of Helsinki. It is a forest within a forest, a space for encounters, negotiations and discussions. It performs different notions of the forest while inviting others to perform and claim space; it is an installation, a collective effort and an invitation for alternative forms of exchange.
Forest² is built out of ”local waste” during September 2015. ”Local waste” consists of surrounding construction and electronic waste that is collected and then collectively turned into a forest that is open for everyone to visit during the entire month of October 2015.
Forest² is located in Helsinki on Aleksanterinkatu, between Aleksi 13 department store and Dressman.
Forest² hosts different kinds of happenings (performances, workshops and discussions) during October 2015, all of which are entirely admission free. Everyone holds the rights and responsibility of Forest².
Everyone can visit and contribute to the construction of Forest². Join Forest² and donate some waste and some time by visiting us during our opening hours.
Henna Tanskanen, Hannah Maria Gullichsen and students from Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts work as arborists and foresters in Forest². The project is supported by the Finnish Cultural Foundation and produced by Theatre Circus Maximus.
